The Texas Dragon Boat Association “promotes the tradition of dragon boating, increase awareness of Asian and Asian-American culture, and enhance cross-cultural understanding.” Expect over 30 teams racing throughout the day with colorful cultural performances, educational cultural booths, delicious cuisine, and fun games for the whole family.

Celebrate 20 years of Thanksgiving tradition at the 2012 TXU Energy Turkey Trot benefiting Sheltering Arms Senior Services! The race will continue to take place at Dillard’s near the Galleria on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012.
Last year over 12,000 people participated in the event making it one of the largest foot races in Houston. The eldest participant last year was 86 years young!
