The Conroe Independent School District started construction on a new school in Woodforest last month, a campus that will serve students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
The school will be located on a 16-acre site in the master-planned community, a project of The Johnson Development Corp. It is slated to open in August 2014.

Set to open this summer is Devon Playfield, a three-acre park catering to baseball and soccer enthusiasts. Part of the playfield will be devoted to Admiral Bark Park, a canine-friendly enclosed area where pups can run free.
