Newmark Homes is not only helping Houston-area residents settle into their perfect homes, but also helping pets with Fort Bend County Animal Services find "furr-ever" homes.

Representatives from animal services are bringing adoptable pets to Newmark model homes during several special events, plus the builder is donating $250 to the organization for each visit.

Fort Bend County Animal Services is expected to be at the grand opening of Newmark's model home in Grand Ridge Crossing on Nov. 17. Shelter animals also will be at Frost Fest in Sienna Plantation Dec. 3 in Missouri City, as well as Snow Fest in Fulshear's Jordan Ranch Dec. 10.

"Fort Bend County Animal Services has more than 100 animals waiting for adoption," said Melissa Guerra, marketing director for Newmark Homes. "We are excited to help these animals find homes this fall while we are also helping prospective home buyers find homes in Fort Bend County - it's a perfect match."

Fort Bend County Animal Services offers an online directory of lost pets, as well as places stray pets, registers and licenses animals, provides vaccinations and helps control unrestrained free-roaming animals. Volunteers are welcome to help care for and socialize with shelter animals and donations of food, treats, blankets, toys and more are appreciated.
