Land Coordinator - Houston, TX

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track and process land acquisition and development contracts.
  • Assist with various reports and budget tracking; Lot Supply/future planning, Lot takedown tracking.
  • Project budgets/schedules/land contract obligations.
  • Coordinate lot closings with Seller and title company; work with lenders to obtain appraisals.
  • Assist with new communities setups
  • Prepare lot spreadsheets with land contract deadlines; work in AS400 to establish job numbers.
  • Work with surveyor to get community files setup
  • Assemble HOA/Property Management Company and Property Tax information and documentation.
  • Work with home closing team to assist in land related obligations.
  • A/P related duties for Land Development items; vendor setups, invoice processing.
  • Maintain and organize community files. Provide administrative support to Land Department; Various projects and duties as assigned by department head.
  • Provide backup support to the Closing coordinator as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Residential home construction preferred.
  • 2+ years in a related role or relevant experience in residential new home construction.
  • ARC knowledge helpful but not required.
  • Must be analytical and have data analyst skillset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experienced in Database Systems i.e. AS400/JD Edwards helpful.
  • Computer skills required: Accounting Software; Contract Management Systems; Microsoft Office Suite.
